MONTREAL - Lewis Hamilton was fastest but Felipe Massas Williams managed to post the second quickest time in Saturday mornings final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix. Wholesale Authentic Jerseys . Hamilton posted the best lap of one minute 15.610 seconds on the 4.361-kilomtre Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve but his Mercedes AMG teammate Nico Rosberg was caught for second place when Massa came in at 1:16.086 with all the drivers running on supersoft tires late in the one-hour session. Rosberg was third at 1:16.120 while Fernando Alonsos Ferrari was at 1:16.488 and Daniel Ricciardos Red Bull was fifth at 1:16.504. The real test will come later Saturday in qualifying. The Mercedes team has claimed all six pole positions and won all six races in Formula One this season. Massa has started no better than seventh on the grid and his best race finish was sixth. Hamilton hit the curb hard on the final chicane before the home stretch and still bounced back with his quickest time. But the Briton returned to the garage for unspecified work on the car and, even when he returned to the track, he told his crew they needed to "sort out what was wrong." The session stopped for four minutes early on after Esteban Gutierrezs Sauber spun out and needed to be lifted off the track. The race is on Sunday. Wilson and the offence held the ball for 41:56 and Philadelphia ran just 45 plays. We didnt give them many plays, thats not what theyre used to, so the tempo wasnt a problem, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said of Philadelphias fast-paced, no-huddle offence. We never thought we would hold them to (under) 50 plays.Wilson had 263 yards passing and ran for 48 to help the Seahawks (9-4) win their third straight game. The defending Super Bowl champions have victories over NFC West-leading Arizona (10-3), San Francisco (7-6) and Philadelphia (9-4) in the last three weeks. The Eagles host Dallas (9-4) with first place in the NFC East at stake next week. They had won 10 straight regular-season games. If you dont get as many opportunities, you have to make the ones you get count and we didnt do that, quarterback Mark Sanchez said. We expected to do a lot of things better.Carroll was the winner in his first NFL matchup against Kelly. In the coaches only other meeting, Kellys Oregon Ducks beat Carroll and USC 47-20 on Oct. 31, 2009.I have total respect for everything Chip does, Carroll said. Our defence, for the third straight week, did the job for us.Sanchez, who played for Carroll in college, threw for 96 yards, two TD passes and one interception.Marshawn Lynch had 86 yards rushing and a 15-yard TD catch for Seattle. The Seahawks hadnt allowed a touchdown since a 24-20 loss at Kansas City on Nov. 16 before Sanchez tossed a 1-yard TD pass to Jeremy Maclin in the first quarter. They beat division rivals Arizona and San Francisco by the same score, 19-3, in the previous two games. Some things we learned in Seattles conviincing win over the Eagles:BIG-PLAY BALDWIN: Doug Baldwin had a 23-yard TD catch, caught a pass for nine yards to set up a field goal before the end of the first half and drew a 44-yard pass interference penalty. Cheap NFL Jerseys. Those guys are electric for us, Wilson said of Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. When they make plays like that, its hard to beat us.CONTAINING WILSON: Russell Wilson avoided pressure, scrambled for yards, threw the ball away at times and hurt the Eagles with his legs. He seemed on his way to his fourth career 300-yard passing game, but the Seahawks ran the ball most of the fourth quarter.Thats what he does, Eagles defensive co-ordinator Billy Davis said. It wasnt a surprise to us. They find ways to make plays and they made a lot more than we did.MCCOYS STRUGGLES: LeSean McCoy has lost fumbles in consecutive games and finished with 50 yards rushing, the fourth time he was held to 50 or fewer this season. But the two-time All-Pro set a franchise record for most career yards, passing Wilbert Montgomery on a 4-yard run in the third quarter. It was probably one of my worst game since Ive been here, McCoy said.PLAYOFF PREVIEW: The Eagles have lost to Green Bay (9-3), Arizona (10-3) and Seattle (9-4) so those losses hurt their chances of getting a first-round bye should they win the division. The Seahawks could end up playing in Philadelphia again in a wild-card playoff game in a 3-6 matchup.Hopefully we see them again, Eagles linebacker Brandon Graham said. Hopefully we clean up what we did wrong so we can go out there and do our thing.ROAD WARRIORS: The Seahawks have won consecutive road games at San Francisco and Philadelphia after losing three of their first five games away from home. Theyll have a first-place showdown at Arizona on Dec. 21.We are really connected right now, really in sync, safety Earl Thomas said. It seems like when somebody makes a play, everybody makes a play.___AP NFL websites: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Rob Maaddi on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AP_RobMaaddi Cheap Jerseys From China ' ' '

BROSSARD, Que. Starling Marte Authentic Jersey . -- It was up to veterans Brian Gionta and Tomas Plekanec to convince the world, and perhaps themselves, that the Montreal Canadiens still have hope. The team that looked so solid in coming back to eliminate the first-place overall Boston Bruins is down 3-1 to the New York Rangers in the NHL Eastern Conference final, but Gionta insisted Monday that morale is good and the Canadiens are far from finished. They will be facing elimination in Game 5 of the best-of-seven series at the Bell Centre on Tuesday night, however. "Its no secret: you start doing the right things, you start getting rewarded for it and momentum builds," Gionta said. "You keep carrying that. "A couple of teams have been able to do that this year, the Kings and the Rangers. So its not something that cant be done and with the group we have in here, we believe we can do it. And we believe weve got better as the series goes on." Gionta and Plekanec were part of a Canadiens team that came back from a 3-1 deficit to upset the high-powered Washington Capitals en route to their last trip to the conference final in 2010. They did it that time with desperate shot-blocking, spectacular goaltending from Jaroslav Halak and a quiet belief that they could pull it off. This time, they are looking to third-stringer Dustin Tokarski to imitate Halak. The 24-year-old has been solid in goal since replacing the injured Carey Price in Game 2, allowing eight goals in 11 periods over three games. He helped them claim an overtime win in New York in Game 3 but was beaten on Martin St. Louis overtime snipe in Game 4 on Sunday night. The Canadiens have played the Rangers close to evenly since a 7-2 loss in the series opener, but there were worrying signs in their latest loss. Defenceman Alexei Emein missed most of the first period after blocking a shot and then was mostly immobile after he returned. And top forwards Thomas Vanek, who has struggled all series, and Max Pacioretty were all-but invisible. And they remain without Price, the Canadian gold medallist from the Sochi Olympics in February who suffered a suspected right knee injury when New Yorks Chris Kreider crashed the net in the second period of the series opener. Price skated for about 20 minutes without equipment before the teams optional practice, but coach Michel Therrien said he will not be back in this series. For Gionta, hope comes from a feeling that his team is getting better and still has time to turn things around, as they did when they fell behind 3-2 to the Bruins in the conference semifinal. The Canadiens rebounded with their best game of the playoffs in Game 6 and closed it out in Boston two days later. "We were able to wear (Bostons) defence down with our speed and our forechecking," he said. "We need to get better at that and I think thats what weve got better at as (the New York series) went on. "Try to take advantage of their defencemen down low, try to spend some time in the offensive zone, and start to make breakdowns and make things happen that way. Our backs are against the wall. Its win or go home. I would expect the same kind of effort as we had against Boston for sure." They could also improve on special teams, although they had a breakthrough when P.K. Subban finally got a power play goal to tie the game in the third period on the sixth of Montreals eight man-advantages. "We sat down after the second period and made a little adjustment and it worked and hopefully we can carry it over to the next game," said Plekanec. "Special teams was one of the things that we probably werent good enough at in the series so far, so it would be a good time to turn that around. "Its not over. I didnt see one guy that was down after the game." Plekanec was among five players in the Game 4 lineup who joined the reserve players in the optional skate, along with Tokarski, Rene Bourque, Michael Bournival and defenceman Francis Bouillon, who scored in his first appearance in the series in place of rookie Nathan Beaulieu. Another potential boost for the Canadiens would be to score the first goal, which they did consistently in the first two rounds but have yet to do against the Rangers. It would perhaps give them another missing element -- confidence. "We have to start playing more with confidence, making the right plays at the right time," said Plekanec. "When theres a play, weve got to make it. "When theres no play, weve got to go for the puck. Sometimes we didnt make the right decisions, so thats an aspect that definitely can be better. Confidence is a thing that, when you dont make the right plays, you start chipping it in instead of making plays, and sometimes its a situation where you should have made a play." Therrien feels his team has shown it can bounce back against the Bruins and can do it again. Gionta, a Stanley Cup winner with New Jersey in 2003, agrees. "Part of the playoffs part of being a professional, of being part of a winning team is being able to regroup and forget about it and deal with the circumstances that are ahead of you and not with whats behind you," he said. "Guys were disappointed. It was a huge blow. But the series isnt over. We still believe in this group so no one is panicking." Matt Joyce Authentic Jersey . Florenzi provided the cross for Mattia Destros opener 10 minutes in at the Stadio Olimpico then took a pass from Gervinho and found the target himself two minutes later with an angled shot. Florenzi celebrated by climbing over a barrier into the stands and running up several rows to embrace his 82-year-old grandmother -- drawing a yellow card from the referee. "Hell pay a fine but hes happy to," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "This is the beautiful side of football." Roma and Juventus, which won 1-0 at AC Milan on Saturday, are the only clubs to win their opening three matches. Prior to this season, the last time Roma won its opening three matches without conceding any goal came in 2007-08. "The stats are good. Were top on maximum points and were yet to concede in the league," Garcia said. "It was a good afternoon" Hellas Verona is two points back in third following a 1-0 win at Torino, where Artur Ionita scored in the 66th and goalkeeper Rafael saved a penalty kick from Omar El Kaddouri in the 87th. Milan and Udinese are three points behind the leaders. Udinese edged Napoli 1-0 with a goal from Danilo in the 70th following a poorly defended free kick. It was the second consecutive loss for Napoli, which finished third last season. Also, Inter Milan drew 1-1 at promoted Palermo. A defensive error from Nemanja Vidic gifted Paulo Dybala a goal for Palermo just three minutes in and Mateo Kovacic equalized for Inter in the 42nd from the edge of the area. Its been a nightmare of a start for Vidic in Italy after the former Manchester United standout was shown a red card in his Serie A debut. Fiorentina won 1-0 at Atalanta with a goal in the 58th from substitute Jasmin Kurtic, who scored with a long diagoonal shot that bounced in off the post. Jon Niese Pirates Jersey. . Parma beat Chievo Verona 3-2 with two goals from former Italy forward Antonio Cassano. Elsewhere, Genoas Mauricio Pinilla scored in the 87th in a 1-0 win over 10-man Lazio, two minutes after Stefan De Vrij picked up his second yellow card. And Sassuolo and Sampdoria drew 0-0. In the capital, Garcia rested Francesco Totti following a 5-1 midweek rout of CSKA Moscow in the Champions League but Florenzi, Destro and Gervinho made up for the captains absence. It was the first goal this season for the 23-year-old Florenzi, and also the first time his grandmother Aurora came to the Olimpico to watch him. "I had never done that, not even when I was a kid and could have much more easily," Florenzi told Sky TV at halftime. "This goal is for her. She had told me, Ill come to see you only if you come to greet me. ... It was worth the yellow." Cagliari, coached by former Roma manager Zdenek Zeman, rarely threatened. Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi exited late in the second half with an apparent lower left leg problem. In Verona, Cassano dedicated his performance to teammate Jonathan Biabiany, who is out indefinitely after doctors discovered a heart problem. Cassano had a heart problem himself during the 2011-12 season, when he fell ill with stroke-like symptoms on the team plane while with Milan and then had surgery to repair a small cardiac malformation. "I understand what hes going through right now," Cassano said. "We miss him as a player but above all as a teammate." Cassano was on Italys World Cup squad but has not been called up by new Azzurri coach Antonio Conte. "I think the national team chapter is over for me," Cassano said. "Its only fair that other players get a chance. Conte is very good but you run a lot with him -- a lot -- and Im not sure that suits me." Cheap Jerseys From China ' ' '

Did you know?(Image via WhalersHockeyCards.com) Hockey analyst Pierre McGuire was the coach of the Hartford Whalers in 1993. He was 32 and was the youngest head coach in the NHL. He coached the team to a losing record and was fired in 1994. Players praised his firing. I recommend checking out this article on the whole situation.Did they have a goal song? Not only did they play Brass Bonanza, a song composed by musician Jack Say after they scored, but it was the teams official theme song. General manager Brian Burke actually canceled the use of the song in 1992 because he was embarrassed by it. It was reintroduced after he left the team.Worst trade:Fans were absolutely devastated when the Whalers traded Ron Francis, Ulf Samuelsson and Grant Jennings to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Jeff Parker, Zarley Zalapski and John Cullen. The Penguins would go on to win multiple Stanley Cups with that group while the Whalers would be mediocre for the rest of their existence. Best moustache: That would go to Gary Howatt, who had a beauty moustache. What does a former player have to say?Jeff ONeill(Image via Shoebox Legends)What was it like to play in Hartford? For me it was awesome, I was drafted in Hartford by Hartford. In training camp I had the opportunity to live with Gordie Howes son Marty, and he kind of took me in. I was new to the National Hockey League and I was pretty much happy wherever I was. It was disappointing though because after my first-year there was already talk of leaving Hartford. It wasnt that tough for me because I couldnt build that relationship in town where I had connections or friends so it was good while it lasted but Raleigh was pretty fun place too. Was the transition tough?Like I said, a guy like Kevin Dineen who was Mr. Hartford Whaler, and the guys who had been there for a while, the trainers and people who were local, it was awfully difficult for them because they had roots put down and they had kids in school and they were part of a diehard Whalers nation that bled green and blue but everyone kind of picked up and went to Raleigh and made it work. Aside from the draft whats one of your fondest memories of Hartford?Unfortunately it was probably the last game. It was special to see all the fans and the way they supported the team and came out. Unfortunately the building wasnt packed like that enough and thats ultimately why the team left that city. Its a weird market because there is Rangers fans and Boston Bruins fans all around that area and there didnt seem to be enough of those diehard Whaler fans but Ill always remember that last game: Paying respect to Kevin Dineen and some of the longtime trainers, Chuck Kaiton, Skip Cunningham and guys like that whove been there a long time. Was it hard playing in front half-packed arenas?I did it for a lot of my career and it was a difficult thing to do. The common cliché that was tossed around the locker room was that we have to make our own excitement tonight because there is not people banging on the glass and being loud and obnoxious and creating momentum out there. I almost got used to it because when I came out to Carolina there was bare crowds for the first three or four years, so its a difficult thing to do, especially when you go to markets like Montreal or Toronto where the building is packed; its frustrating because you dont really get that sense that youre in the NHL. NEW YORK – The Blue Jays entered Thursdays series finale at Yankee Stadium losers of eight of their last 11 games. Johnny Damon Authentic Jersey . Theyd dropped 15 in a row in the Bronx dating back to 2012 and had seen their lead over their pinstriped rivals in the American League East dwindle to two and a half games. This is a slump. Its lasted for about two weeks. The downturn comes on the heels of a terrific May, when Toronto won 21 of 30 games and Edwin Encarnacion captured the imagination of fans with his 16-home run month. This is not is the end of the world, nor does this slump suggest a long-term trend. This is on the offence and thats a good thing because theres too much talent in the Blue Jays lineup for the widespread malaise to continue. To wit: The starting pitching has been fine. You could say its been good and you wouldnt be wrong. In the last 11 games, Jays starters have allowed four or more earned runs only twice and have pitched to a staff ERA of 3.71. The starting pitching was supposed to be the weakness. So far it has held up. The Jays have hit only four home runs in their last 11 games. Not surprisingly, three of the home runs came in two of the three victories. Toronto continues to lead baseball with 93 team home runs, which is crucial to the clubs attack. Of the 338 runs the Jays have scored this season, 147 (43.4 per cent) have come via the long ball. Jose Bautista hasnt hit a home run in 11 games, his longest power drought of the season. Hes still hitting for a respectable average, .275 with five of his 11 hits going for doubles, but the Jays miss his power bat as the club struggles, having scored three or fewer runs eight times in the span. This is a phase, both for the individual and for the ballclub, Bautista said, that was bound to happen. "If you can execute every single day for 162, youd probably win 140 games," said Bautista. "We dont expect to execute every single day. But we do have to pick it up. Its one thing, were running into some St. Louis good pitching, some other pitching staffs. I dont want to speak badly or worse about the Yankees or the Orioles but its not the same. We faced much better pitching at home during the last homestand than we have on this road trip, except for Tanaka, who did a tremendous job. So we shouldve won some of these games that we lost." It hasnt helped, either, that Edwin Encarnacion has hit only one home run in the last 11 games. "Weve lacked some timely hitting," said Bautista. "Our pitching has been there enough, I think, that we shouldve won some of these games that weve lost. We just need to keep going on offence. We got really hot at one point and kind of hitting a little cold spurt now. Weve just got to overcome it and not get 10 hits a day but get them when you get the baserunners on." Bautista has repeatedly acknowledged hes bought in to hitting coach Kevin Seitzers philosophy of using all fields. The slugger has become a better all round hitter. His 1,000th career big league hit, achieved in the eighth inning of Wednesday nights loss, was a double to right field. That alone would have been a story last season. This year its commonplace. "I think Im more aware of some situations where people are going to keep challenging me inside, especially when Im behind in the count or theres the right situation when theres a defensive shift," said Bautista. "Why not try to go over there and it ended up working out again? But the previous at bat I tried going that way and I hit into a force out, when Melky got forced out at second. So it works sometimes, sometimes it doesnt." Its difficult to watch a team go into a funk, especially when it had become customary for fans to watch Toronto out-slug and, often, out-pitch opponents. Despite the recent struggles, the Jays offence remains top 10 in important statistical categories: Home runs – 93 (1st)On-base percentage - .329 (5th)On-base plus slugging percentage - .760 (2nd)Walks – 243 (9th) Dellin Betances Yankees Jersey . RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico -- James Driscoll matched the Puerto Rico Open record with a 9-under 63 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead after the second round. Playing in wind gusting to 20 mph after morning rain at Trump International, Driscoll had an eagle and seven birdies in his bogey-free round. He had a 12-under 132 total. "I had the putter going pretty hot today," Driscoll said. "I was fortunate. I hit a bunch of shots pretty close, too. I judged the wind. Luckily, I read the wind right a couple of times. The wind was pumping pretty good. It was blowing about 20 miles an hour, but there were a few times I had some crosswinds and just judged it perfectly and hit it in there to about a foot or so." Driscoll also shot a 63 in the 2011 tournament for a share of the record set by Derek Lamely in his 2010 victory and also matched by Chris Tidland in 2011 and Scott Brown last year in his victory. "The first 63, I think I was 11 under with like three or four holes to go and made two bogeys coming in, and this one was just kind of, I just kept chipping away at it and birdied the last to get to 63," Driscoll said. "So they were a little bit different, but both pretty special. Both holed a bunch of putts and just one of those days where you hit some iron shots close and make a mile of putts." PGA Tour rookie Chesson Hadley was second after a 65. "Ive kind of been struggling all year jusst with ball-striking, just finding the planet, honestly," Hadley said. Brian Roberts Authentic Jersey. "And yesterday, I dont know, I was just talking to my swing coach again, and we kind of just like, Look, just go back to the basics. Ive always struggled with staying tall through the ball, and I just started thinking about that yesterday before my round, and I hit it great on the range, and it really started to line up yesterday. I hit it great, and then I just pured it everywhere, all over the place today." Eric Axley was 10 under after a 66, and Jonathan Byrd, Wes Roach, Ben Martin and Danny Lee were another stroke back. Byrd and Roach shot 66, Martin 67, and Lee 68. "Im playing solid, hitting a lot of greens right now, being patient, and getting a lot of them close to the hole," Axley said. "So puttings not been too difficult. "Its a little soft right now, after the rain weve had. Yesterday, when we played it was kind of getting a little firmer. If the wind blows a little and no more rain, it could get a little firmer for the weekend. Brown made the cut on the number, shooting 70-73 to tie for 68th at 1 under. BERLIN -- Bayern Munich defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 to restore its 13-point advantage in the Bundesliga on Sunday, while Nuremberg climbed out of the relegation zone by beating Hertha Berlin. Kerry Wood Cubs Jersey . Mario Goetze opened the scoring after 11 minutes of concerted pressure from Bayern, and Franck Ribery, back in the starting lineup after recovering from his back problems, made it 2-0 a minute before halftime. Bayern began the second half as it ended the first, with Frankfurt keeper Kevin Trapp deflecting Goetzes effort onto the post, then denying Rafinha, before Ribery struck the crossbar with a delicate chip. Goetze pulled the ball back for Arjen Robben to score off the underside of the crossbar in the 67th, two minutes after the Dutchman came on as a substitute, and Dante made it 4-0 with a header two minutes after that. It got worse for the visitors when Trapp hobbled off with a knee injury. Replacement goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald came on for his Bundesliga debut but was helpless to prevent Mandzukic scoring in the 89th, when the Croatian beat a defender before curling his effort inside the far post. "We talked before the game of a miracle, but when Bayern are like that you cant do anything. I think even Barcelona would have lost here today," Frankfurt midfielder Pirmin Schwegler said. Bayern stretched its record league unbeaten run to 44 games and the win was its 17th from 19 games this season. The other two games were draws. "Everyone always wants to beat the top team in the league. We have to stay alert," Robben said. Frankfurt coach Armin Veh left out regulars Sebastian Rode and Carlos Zambrano because they were in danger of suspension for a fifth yellow card. "We need them more against (next opponent Eintracht) Braunschweig," Veh said. Earlier, Nuremberg claimed only its second win of the season, its second in succession, by winning 3-1 in Berlin. It started badly for Gertjan Verbeeks side when a poorly defended corner allowed Hertha striker Adrian Ramos to score with a header at the near post in the fourth minute. The Colombian missed two good chances to score again before Markus Feulner equalized with a 16-meter shot in the 20th after a botched clearance, and Josip Drmic scored from a rebound in the 68th, after Daniel Ginczek struck the post. Hertha had a goal ruled out in the 90th minute when it might have had a penalty after Ondrej Petrak used his hand to stop Ronnys long-distance effort on the line. Ramos tucked the rebound away but was judged offside for Ronnys initial shot, while Petrak escaped the red card. "It was the right decision from the referee, luckily for us," said Drmic, who made sure of the victory in a frenetic finale with a penalty after he was fouled by Marcel Ndjeng four minutes into injury time. "We knew they were a good team," Hertha general manager Michael Preetz said. "They didnt get the results they deserved in the opening half of the season. They played with courage. Still, I found we created holes in their defence that we should have made more use of, particularly in the first half." Nuremberg coach Verbeek was relieved the referees decision went his sides way in the final minute. "He could have decided differently," the Dutchman said. Notre Dame, which lost to the Crimson Tide in last years BCS National Championship game, tumbled out of the poll after a home loss to Oklahoma. Alabama improved to 4-0 with a 25-0 victory over then-No. 21 Ole Miss on Saturday. The Crimson Tide received 55 first-place votes -- one fewer than last week -- and a total of 1,495 points from a nationwide media panel. Oregon, after a 55-16 rout of California, again picked up an extra No. 1 vote for a total of five and held on to the second spot, followed again by Clemson, Ohio State and Stanford. Arizona State improved to 3-1, following up a 42-28 loss at Stanford last week with a 62-41 home win over Southern California on Saturday, a victory that ended the tenure of USC coach Lane Kiffin, while Maryland is 4-0 and was idle this weekend after a 37-0 rout of West Virginia last Saturday. The Terrapins will have a tough test in their first game as a ranked team this year with a visit to Florida State next Saturday. Dave Hollins Phillies Jersey . If there is one club built to handle an off-field controversy, its the Bill Belichick era Patriots. Even if New Englands offence stumbles a bit out of the gate, their defence can help them stay in games, especially in the AFC East with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets in the first two weeks.ATLANTA - The Indiana Pacers headed south Wednesday, finally carrying themselves with a swagger befitting the No. 1 seed. Now, they need to prove theyre really back on track — at a place where they havent had much success over the years. The Pacers evened the series against the eighth-seeded Atlanta Hawks with a dominating third-quarter performance in Game 2, stifling some of the incessant criticism the supposed best team in the East had endured after sleepwalking through the final seven weeks of the regular season and turning in a dismal performance in the playoff opener. Of course, the condemnation will start up all over again if the Pacers falter in Game 3 on Thursday night. Theyve got to keep their edge. "That was my point to them," coach Frank Vogel said after a practice in Indianapolis, before the team hopped on a 90-minute flight to Atlanta. "Weve got to maintain that." While a bit down about their most recent showing, the Hawks already accomplished their primary goal of the series — win a game on the road to steal away the home-court advantage. Besides, this team has endured plenty of adversity in recent years, from a massive overhaul that left Atlanta with almost an entirely new roster to the loss of top player Al Horford with a season-ending injury back in December. The Hawks may have lucked into the playoffs with the worst record of any qualifier (38-44), but theyve shown plenty of grit and teamwork to make up for their deficiencies. "Our group has been very, very resilient all year, very tough-minded all year," rookie coach Mike Budenholzer said after a film session with his players. "Ive felt good about this group all year, and I dont feel any differently now." The Hawks did plenty of good things in the first two games, winning the opener rather easily, 101-93, and positioning themselves to pull off another shocker when they built an 11-point lead in the first half Tuesday night. Suddenly, Indiana took control, outscoring the Hawks 552-27 through the rest of the half to the end of the third quarter, pretty much removing any doubt about the outcome when Paul George hit a long 3-pointer at the buzzer. Chuck Klein Jersey. "We had to prove our point," guard Lance Stephenson said. The Pacers have won only twice at Philips Arena since December 2006, a drought that included a 13-game losing streak stretching for more than six years. But Vogel was quick to point out that Indiana has won two of its last three games in Atlanta, including a series-clinching victory in last years playoffs. "Weve won three of our last four if youre counting the preseason," he added. Indiana struggled early on in Game 2, trying to get centre Roy Hibbert more involved in the offence. When that didnt work, the Pacers turned to more familiar weapons. George scored 27 points, knocking down five 3-pointers. Point guard George Hill sparked the offence with his slashing drives into the lane, scoring 15 points over the final two quarters after going scoreless in the first half. Luis Scola provided a huge spark off the bench, scoring 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting, most of them jumpers in the 18- to 21-foot range. "He hit a lot of shots," Budenholzer said. "Credit to him. Now the challenge for us is to make those shots harder and more difficult and more challenged." The Hawks also have to figure out a way to get their point guard, Jeff Teague, to play more like he did in Game 1 (a career playoff-high 28 points) than he did in Game 2 (14 points, just two coming in the second half). The 6-foot-9 George switched over to cover the quicker player and did a marvelous job, limiting the penetration that allows Teague to set up good looks from the outside. Atlanta went 10 of 29 beyond the arc, missing 11 in a row in one stretch as the Pacers seized control. "Paul George is a very good defender no matter who he guards," Budenholzer said. "Hes going to have an impact on the game." Cheap Jerseys From China ' ' '

NEW YORK -- The Knicks went coast to coast to let Carmelo Anthony know they want him to stay in New York. Ryan Vogelsong Pirates Jersey . Team officials travelled to Los Angeles on Thursday night to meet with the free agent, a person with knowledge of the plans said. Team President Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills were expected to be part of the meeting but not Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan, the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because details of the meeting were to remain private. The meeting was first reported by ESPN. Anthony was in Los Angeles to meet with the Lakers, who are among the teams hoping to convince the All-Star forward to leave New York. Anthony already visited Chicago, Houston and Dallas this week. The Knicks can offer him the largest contract, nearly $130 million over five years, though Jackson has said he hopes Anthony will take less than a maximum deal. Other teams can offer Anthony slightly less than $100 million in a four-year deal, according to NBA rules. Contracts cant be signed until July 10, so Anthony is under no rush to make a decision. But the Knicks apparently wanted to make sure they got to make a final pitch after his free agency tour. Jackson, Mills and new coach Derek Fisher had already met with Anthony last month in Los Angeles, where he informed them he would be terminating the final year of his contract and becoming a free agent. He has never said he wants to leave the Knicks, who acquired him from Denver in a February 2011 trade. But the 30-year-old forward also said his priority is contending for championships, and the Knicks were just 37-45 last season, the first time in Anthonys 11-year career that he missed the playoffs. Yellow Gerrit Cole Jersey . -- Floridas smothering defence returned to form just in time for the third-ranked Gators to keep their winning streak going. Mark Melancon Jersey . Marek Hamsik, who had earlier missed a penalty, headed Napoli in front in the 23rd minute and Pandev added a second goal five minutes from halftime. Alessandro Matri got Juventus back into the game just after the break but Pandev was on hand to score again in the 68th.Coming off one of the best starts of his young career, Marcus Stroman will try to pitch the Toronto Blue Jays to a series victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in Wednesdays finale of a three-game set. A 23-year-old rookie, Stroman is 4-2 with a 3.44 earned run average in 12 games this season, the past seven of those being starts. He logged the first scoreless outing of his career on Friday versus Oakland in a no-decision. Stroman scattered three hits and three walks over seven frames, logging a career-high 115 pitches while matching a personal best with seven strikeouts for the third time on the season. However, Toronto went on to lose 1-0 in 12 innings. "I feel comfortable, I feel like Ive gotten into a pretty good groove," Stroman said on Torontos website. "Just trying to help the team win each and every start up here." The lack of run support wasnt anything new for the righty, who has seen the Blue Jays plate more than three runs in just one of his last six outings since he won his first career start 12-2 on May 31. Stroman faced the Angels in relief on May 11 and was tagged for four runs over 1 2/3 innings. The struggling C.J. Wilson counters for Los Angeles and though he has not lost in his past three appearances, he has posted an 11.08 ERA over that time. Wilson even managed to record a victory over Minnesota on June 24 despite allowing six runs over five innings and has recorded back-to-back no-decisions since. That includes Friday versus Houston as he allowed six runs on seven hits -- including three homers -- over 4 1/3 frames. "Hes trying to make adjustments, theres no doubt about that," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said on his teams website. "C.J.s on a tough run right now." Thee 33-year-old southpaw is 8-6 on the year and his ERA has risen to 4. Neftali Feliz Jersey. 23. Wilson had a chance to pitch the Angels to a four-game road sweep of the Blue Jays back on May 12, but took the loss in that series finale after allowing five runs over six innings. He yielded a three-run homer to Jose Bautista and a two-run shot off the bat of Brett Lawrie in defeat. Los Angeles has won 11 of its last 14 versus Toronto, but the Blue Jays drew even in this set with last nights 4-0 victory. Jose Reyes sparked a struggling offense with four hits, one a two-run homer, and three RBI, while R.A. Dickey logged seven scoreless innings. Dioner Navarro knocked in the other run for the Blue Jays, who pounded out 14 hits en route to snapping a five-game slide in which they had scored only six runs. Dickey, meanwhile, allowed four hits and a walk while fanning five before Dustin McGowan and Aaron Loup followed with scoreless innings of relief to cap the five-hitter. "Changing speeds with the knuckler kept them guessing all night. I tried to throw first-pitch strikes as much as I could," said Dickey after helping Toronto end the Angels 11-game home win streak that was one shy of the club record. Tyler Skaggs gave up three runs on 11 hits across 6 2/3 frames for the Halos, whose five-game win streak came to an end. "Tyler pitched a good ballgame, except for the changeup to Reyes that ended up in the bullpen," said Scioscia, referring to Reyes seventh-inning homer. The Angels lost for just the fourth time in their last 18 games, but still trail the Oakland Athletics by 4 1/2 games for first place in the AL West. Toronto moved to within 2 1/2 games of first-place Baltimore in the AL East. Cheap Jerseys From China ' ' '
